Testimonial:
“My 12 days studying under Hannah Catalino in Whitehall, Montana, was an experience I won’t soon forget. I came hoping to deepen my understanding of mustang gentling, advanced liberty work, and the art of truly connecting with the mustang—and I left with far more than I expected.
Hannah has an incredible ability to teach not just the how of horsemanship, but the why behind it. She challenged me to slow down, pay attention to the smallest details, and better understand what the horse in front of me was actually communicating. Her knowledge, patience, and genuine respect for the mustang were evident in everything she taught.
One of the highlights of my time in Montana was having the opportunity to travel into the Pryor Mountains alongside Hannah and her colleague to observe and study wild mustangs in their natural environment. Watching herd dynamics, communication, relationships, and behavior firsthand added an entirely different dimension to everything I was learning back at the ranch. It was an experience that deepened both my understanding of and respect for these incredible horses.
The hospitality I experienced during those 12 days was every bit as exceptional as the horsemanship. Hannah welcomed me into her world, allowed me to stay in her personal camper, and made me feel less like a visiting student and more like part of the family. Hannah’s mom also deserves a testimony of her own for taking charge of the kitchen for nearly two weeks! She somehow managed to provide three incredible meals every day while keeping them varied, thoughtfully customized, and genuinely delicious. Being so well cared for allowed me to fully immerse myself in the experience, and it was a kindness I won’t forget.
I left Whitehall with a much fuller toolbox as a horsewoman, a deeper appreciation for the mustang, renewed confidence in my own abilities, and friendships that I truly treasure. Hannah poured an incredible amount of knowledge, time, and heart into my experience, and I am incredibly grateful for every bit of it.
If you have the opportunity to learn from Hannah, take it. Come ready to work, ready to learn, and ready to see horses—and especially the mustang—with a deeper understanding than you did when you arrived.”
